Carol and I are both members of Walton Methodist Church, which is situated on Shay Lane in the village.

It is a small church with 41 members and our average congregation is about 30.

The church members are very active and have recently raised the money to pay for alterations to the church which cost around £13,000.

Our minister, Reverend Iain Rennie, joined us in September 2001 and also ministers to Lindale ,Newmilleram and Crigglestone Churches.

Our services are at 10.30 am every Sunday morning and all are very welcome, and there is an "Open Door" coffee morning every Tuesday from about 10 o'clock  to 11.30 am, and all are welcome, not just churchgoers.
